you dont have to change the engine if there was water in it, most of the flood cars arent driving when there flooded during a storm once you pull spark plugs and crank to expel the water put some oil down the cylinder, and thRs about it besides changing all the fluids , most flood vehicles dont have bent connecting rods

  • ltwargssf R

All these cars will have long-term electrical issues as time goes on. No way you will open every electronic circuit board to clean them out or replace them. Flood damage takes time, thats why most of the features are working for now, the corrosion takes a few months. These will be nightmares for the owners in 3-4 years. Rip, I could never sell used cars, there is no money if you do the repairs properlly.

You should really check the air filter box in addition to checking the oil & transmission fluid prior to starting these engines. The real problem with buying fresh water flooded vehicles is the sand/silt from the flood water getting inside the transmission, differentials, transfer case, etc. & the main issue with salt water flooded vehicles is corrosion from the salt. You never did mention if they were fresh water or salt water flood vehicles. That would be nice to know if you know that information.

All those cars except CC came from New Jersey I can tell by the NJ inspection sticker on the front windshield and lot of cars didn’t even get flooded or barely got flooded and people reported to their insurance company just to get out of the car for example my next door neighbor reported his car to her insurance and her car wasn’t even flooded, water only got to the undercarriage and she took the Garden hose put some water in exhaust and called insurance company just because she wanted to get out of the car her payment was too high

Try and save that headlight on the RAV4. I have a 2021 hybrid Highlander and had an accident and the headlight alone was $1300.00. That was the most expensive part on the whole repair!! OUCH!!

  • leyland9999

I see you guys are blinded by that Audi as well. What is it that people desperately want an Audi……Is it status? Is it because if you own an Audi trafic laws don’t exist any longer or or or…….Nice looks, well that’s debatable. Over here in Holland, Audi drivers often drive like madman, don’t obey trafic laws, and don’t give a you know what about the rest. Drown it again, Audi’s are crappy vehicles.

So some folks lives could be ruined due to greed. Parts cars? Yes. Drivers? Very risky. Here in South Florida, guys buy these flooded cars at auction, then flip them to the uninformed without stating their history. Lifting out the spare and finding sand is rampant! They don't care. It's easy dollars for them without knowing much about cars at all, except how to spin a tale. They'll ship them to other states where the salting of roads attack body metal under the guise they are rust free. No mention of being immersed under water! It's scamming pure and simple. The smiles, are because they already are counting the dollars they'll make. Sure - they service the cars, remove seats and shampoo carpets etc. So they smell nice. What about wheel bearings, starter motor bearings, transmission electrics, etc? "It looks so clean, it makes no sense....we take all the risk ourselves". Yaright. Wanna buy a bridge?

No offence but can't be a line up of people wanting to buy flood cars..... anyone with a sound mind would stay clear away from flooded cars... no dealership will touch them under warranty after a flood title.... water affects cars months later... I would be staying clear of your vehicles esp after watching you guys start them straight up. Sorry but this will hurt your brand.

    • mariah Calancea
      mariah Calancea

Insurance company doesn’t care if car was flooded or salvaged unless it’s a Mickey Mouse insurance. It’s required to be inspected by rebuild certified mechanic, with state inspections to certify safe and road worthy. I am on my 35th salvage / flood rebuilds and never had problem getting full coverage insurance.

How do you ensure the integrity of all the electrics and airbag systems. How do you test them and how do you ensure that future corrosion will not affect the wiring in the future. I'm from New Zealand, here a flooded car will need a new wiring loom fitted from front to back, not cut and pasted, all sensors and airbags replaced. Is its history recorded on it's paper work?

The car with water in the cylinders is toast … guaranteed …. I did the same thing to my vehicle though it was ok but bent Conrods soon as you start it .. that’s the white smoke coming out the pipes ,,,, not many people like to buy flood cars because of future problems with cars after all the cars Electical components rust out and fail … they might work initially but fail down the road … I learned the hard way also … good luck guys you might need some .. keep up the great videos 👌

    • Garrie Parsons
      Garrie Parsons

@Go Clunker keep up the good work I’m looking forward to seeing the cars running in good order .. quite challenging when been in such deep water hey 👋👍… things stop working down the line I’m sure on flood damage.. that seems to be the case with most cars I’ve seen 👍changing wiring harnesses carpets and electrical components will help 👌

    • Garrie Parsons
      Garrie Parsons

@Go Clunker hey half a brain brothers you were cranking the car over cylinders full of water… it didn’t start lol 😂😂😂 well done 👍 then you remove plugs lol 😆 pmsl

    • Go Clunker
      Go Clunker

Its not if you have half a brain. Pull the plugs, air filter, crank with no plugs until it blows out all the water, reassemble, drain oil, refill, trans fluid. Done. The “white smoke” is moisture in the exhaust, doesn’t mean its in the cylinders
